As I See It

This is one of my favourite images, for two reasons - Capturing this image took two visits.

The first morning I arrived at the location, the rain was falling and as I made my way up the hill the wind picked up. Having reached the top I abandoned any hope of getting a shot as the rain was now horizontal. Despite my waterproof clothing I returned to the car soaked to the skin. I returned the following day, the weather was kinder to me and I was able to get the shot!

The second reason is, it reminds me of my late mum. I gifted a print of this image to the vicar who conducted her funeral. He said when he looked at it, it reminded him that we are all on a journey!
